Ultra Violet E-120

UV disinfection neutralizes microorganisms in water without adding any chemicals or oxidants.

Using a low-pressure mercury lamp that produces short UV wavelengths, the system deactivates bacteria, viruses, fungi, molds, algae, and their spores.

In UV systems, the lamp is surrounded by an aluminum or stainless steel housing. Water passing through this chamber is exposed to UV irradiation.

The working principle is to disrupt the DNA and RNA structures of microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing. For effective performance, water must be clear; therefore, a 5-micron pre-filter is recommended.

The germicidal efficiency of the lamp decreases over time, and it is recommended to replace it approximately once a year.

Most UV systems are made of stainless steel chambers, with lamps placed inside quartz sleeves. Powered by electricity, the UV lamp emits 254 nm light waves that inactivate organisms in the water.

UV light, a natural part of sunlight, is considered an efficient, eco-friendly, and reliable method for water disinfection.
